The City of Michigan City held a chili cook off as part of the Festival of lights. Eleven different city departments entered at least one chili. Some were spicy, some had chicken, one had venison,most were mild, and one was even a sweetened chili. Mayor Chuck Oberlie even had his own version in the contest.
It was held down at Washington Park tonight, yes a bit cold and windy, but a great time. They had a nice big bonfire and the opportunity to ride in a horse drawn wagon around the park.
